Refinancing recommendations?
 

We are looking into refinancing our home and would appreciate advice from those who have done it on which bank(s) have the best rate and don't charge fees. Much appreciated.

We refinanced 3 months ago. Too early, now is a better time.

Even though they had our existing mortgage, Citizens First was going to charge us over $4000 in closing costs to refinance, We said no.

Went to VyStar Credit Union in Trailwinds Plaza. Good rate and no closing costs. None. We were only required to open a savings account and agree to keep the loan for 3 years.

Check out Northpointe Bank. As of today their fixed 30 year rate was 3.125 and the APR was 3.215. Mortgage companies typically have a lower rate since they are a wholesale lender and banks have retail rates.

Re: VyStar Refinancing terms. What would happen if, for a variety of possible reasons, you could NOT keep the term of a 3-year promise?
