Faulty irrigation timer
We’ve replaced the timer ( mother board ) twice... on our home that’s less than 2 years old...
We have whole house Secco surge protection... we do not know where to go from here ... Any suggestions? Anyone else with this problem? |
If you are referring to your Hunter irrigation control panel, I would try to reset the panel to the factory settings and reprogram the system. This is how you do it:
"Press and hold the PRG button. Press and release the RESET button on the back of the front panel. Wait until the display shows 12:00 am. Release the PRG button. The controller is now ready to be reprogrammed." I don't think the whole house surge protection system has anything to do with your irrigation system. The Hunter control panel is warranted for two years, but I don't think that includes labor. |
Hunter equipment has 5 year warranty, so you should be able to get this for free. Now back to your question, I have a surge suppressor dedicated for the Hunter system. Since this system has several low voltage wires going to the outside control valves, broken or failed insulation on one of these may be causing the problem. Were there any other problems in the house?
I have an insulation tester if you are interested. |

https://www.hunterindustries.com/sit...Code_Sheet.pdf I have a Hunter Pro-C controller, which appears to have a 2 year warranty, according to this website. |
My bad, I thought the 5 year warranty for the outside sensor, was the same for the controller, sorry for the confusion.

It would help if you described the problem you are having.
