Didn't realize Comcast's connection to GE. Also saw reference to the same problem on TWC (Ted Turner?). Could be a technical glitch but kind of weird. Any thoughts, people?

Could it possibly be that the shows you are trying to record are not "NEW" and you don't have your DVR set to record "ALL", but have it set to record "NEW"? We have not had a problem with recording anything, but we have not recorded Glenn Beck yet either.

We have not had the problems described in the videos (yet) but did experience some glitches recently when they forced an update on our boxes. The problem described in the videos was not being able to set a 'series' recording for Beck. (only for Beck) Could only set a recording each day and had to re-enter each day. One of them looked at history of the recordings and every Beck was 'Deleted by a user'. He had NOT deleted them! weird!!!

That really is strange.
