After going shopping, prior to entering your house leave the shoes outside-then spray them with disinfectant-- heard this from a medical professional

Maybe helped curb the spread in the Orient

And maybe it curbed nothing.

I'm wondering why the medical professional stopped with the shoes. Why not strip and throw your clothing into the washing machine for immediate laundering?
