To help get our mind (and eyes/fingers) off Covid...

What was YOUR very FIRST car?

And your CURRENT vehicle (if more than one, your favorite)

A 1958 Ford Fairlane, used, my father picked it up for me. 352 V8, 4 barrel carb automatic, however, he did not notice "Police Interceptor Special" on the engine. This car was slow of the line, but at 80 mph, it was barely turning 2000 rpm, no idea what the top end was. First NEW car 1966 signal flair red Mustang, V8, auto, great car.
Current cars, 2012 Red Mustang convertible that I love, and 1966 Fastback Mustang just finishing complete reconstruction.

56 Chevy HT, 327 4 speed, Rocket spoke mags, diamond tuck interior. Got it from guy got drafted. 16 and half in high school. I worked and paid for it myself, like everything I got. My first new car was 1969 GTX.

Only reason that Ford was slow was the skinny tires on back, weighted ton, and no traction control. Friend had 59 galaxy would burn rubber for ever. It it as 300 gears in the real axle 120 Plus.

1959 Olds 98 convertible, a real chick magnet--would not fit in our current garage-too long !!! Now all I drive are station wagons, hate SUV's too unstable

1954 Ford Crestline flat head V8.....Purchased used from the dishwasher at the restaurant I was busboy at..good first car, as much as I abused it I couldn't kill it..built like a tank. Every time I needed gas I had to fill the oil also...:)

First transportation was a 1966 Dodge Polara. First real car was a 1968 Chevelle SS 396, 375 HP, Hurst shifter, 4.11 posi rear end. After rocking it a bit, I could get the front end off the ground. And burn rubber along way. That was cool until I found out of cost of tires.

1966 Chevy II, paid $500 with 50,00 miles in 1972. Currently, I have a ‘97 Miata with 19,000 miles, it’s currently in storage for the winter.

First car was a 1939 Chevy coupe with new poppy red paint and body but an old engine and interior. This car had a neat spotlight that I could control from the driver seat. It was not a go fast vehicle. I now own a three week old 2020 Honda CR-V Touring Hybrid that was the last one on the lot. I have gotten to drive it to pick up the mail several times.

Right hand drive 1953 MGTD, dated, courted and married wife, (2 date, 2 engaged, 49 married) had MG model on wedding cake. Still have Ttypes, Austin7s and Lotus6 that have all been raced. MG was a departure from borrowing my father’s Chrysler New Yorkers, 440 w/ 4bbl. Used to eat super sports
