NJ resident who owns a home here, coming here now

I know of a NJ resident, who owns a home here. He is coming here shortly to do some maintenance on a rental property-Hope his neighbors make sure he is self quarantined for 14 days upon arrival, if he gets here

Should the sheriff be notified?

Where is the home?

Chatbrat 04-07-2020 08:42 AM

Notify the sheriff of what exactly? That an owner is doing work on another home he owns? I understand your concern. Just distance yourself.

A strong tree limb and a stout rope will correct the problem. Ye Haw!

I would insure that all the neighbors know....he can do his work but don't think I would have any contact within a 12 foot radius (double safe). Irresponsibility survives.

I wonder if he will go to hardware stores and grocery stores?

Chatbrat 04-07-2020 10:58 AM

The house is a rental property--no food, and he has to go to HD for material

My wife and I left The Villages for our home in Ohio on February 23rd. Planning to return 2 to 3 weeks later, obviously that did not happen. We are still here and would not travel during this time for all the obvious reasons.

If this is ever going to end people need to respect the policies we are being requested to follow.

Should the sheriff be notified when grandkids come? How about if a brother, sister, son, daughter, mother or father visits? How about Fed Ex or UPS? Should the sheriff be notified that a Villager went somewhere outside to be with family or friends and then came back here?

Remember the old Twilight Zone episode "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street"? This thread is beginning to resemble it.

NJ and New York should NOT be allowed to come here to Florida. In fact they should just stay put. The Governor has already issued an order for them to be quarantined for fourteen days.

I agree with you Chatbrat.

No one knows what it's like to be dead until they're dead. This is no baby game.
