Premier Environment House Washing-Beware!
 

Have had my home power washed several times from John Kirk and the business was well run. The above business bought his book and I used them last year. I mentioned they failed to rinse the house properly and he assured me this time It'd be done.
After he left, I did my "walk around" and found damage to my siding from the power washer! After multiple calls and getting their answering machine with no call back from Gehrig Chambless, I would think twice about using their service!
If I hear back or get a resolution, I'll post the outcome...save yourself some grief and look elsewhere.

I was supposed to have my driveway power washed and sealed last fall by John Kirk whom I had used for several years for my house washing. I was informed he sold the the business when his mom passed away and he had to take care of his kids. The new owner called and had no clue how to reseal my driveway (paver driveway) like John had done. Happily I told the new owner to forget it.

My biggest problem was that the ground fault breakers were all tripped. My refridge and freezer in the garage quit running and I did not realized all the GF's had tripped until the next day when I went to retrieve so items and they were defrosted. I am guessing the water they got into the outside power outlets are on the same ground fault as the garage outlets. Also my outside lamp post did not come on that night, that should have had me checking then but I thought the bulb had burned out again. Check all ground fault outlets in the garage as the outside outlets are wired to them.

I have gone back to doing the power washing myself, I lost to many electronics that were outside. These were rated (IP67) for driving rain, but NOT for 2500 psi pressure wash, when I do it myself, I know to avoid the electronics contractors not so much.

Never ever put refrigerators & or freezers on GFI's--it you have them in a garage, put them on a dedicated single outlet, not a duplex-no GFI required

Having a dedicated NON GFCI outlet in the garage may be a code violation, a direct (non plug in) circuit my be OK. I hope a person very familiar with the current electrical can clarify.

New house in Southern Oaks. Fridge is on a dedicated GFI circuit.

Do not worry about a code violation, if the only thing that can be plugged into a "single" outlet is a refrigerator, the key word is "single"
outlet & if you're really worried about code violations make it a twist lock plug--GFCI are designed for personal shock protection not equipment protection-I'm a retire tired electrical contractor

Remove it from a GFCI--if its fed from a GFCI make all the other outlets independent GFCI's if they have to

Call Senior vs. Crime and they will work on this for you. I was a volunteer with them when we first moved here and they get results.

I to used John Kirk wonderful guy did a great job. I had the guys who bought the company and had problems as well. The blew out two of my gfi outlets which cost me 100.00 to have fixed. I called them and never got a call back. I left a detailed message again and got no return call.
