Hold on I'm Coming - Sam & Dave LIVE!!! - YouTube

A long-time R&B musician, song writer, Gibson 335 and Lowrey B-3 w. Leslie band member sent us the link to this video.

I hadn't seen the video but it's an example of R&B from approx. 64-67 and may have been during the "STAX England tour". Notice the reference to Booker T. & the M.G.'s around time stamp 3:40 or so.

The audience appears to be a mix of English college kids, rockers, and Air Force enlisted personnel dressed in their blues, looking for a good time :bigbow:

With the lyrics "we want you to join us in a great big bottle of gin", the performance is a gem.

The band, the lyrics, the DANCING and stage presence.

I'm bawling.

I started to reply “they just don’t make ‘em like this anymore.” But they do if you take the time to look. Leon Bridges is a throw back old soul.

Love Kings of Leon. Listen to any track on their album Youth and Young Manhood. Promise it won’t disappoint.

Here’s a song off of it but pretty much the whole album is awesome. (Poor video quality)

youtube videos, you can search anything, not just "how to" videos. When it comes to music, it's loaded with live professionally released DVD shows and audience videos and TV performances, just about anything. I've got over 6,000 videos saved into 45 music playlists on that site. Everything from Disco to 60's to bar bands, I've just about run out of playlists.

As soon as I saw the Sam & Dave video, I thought of something contemporary, and Webb Wilder is in my bar bands folder, so I went right to it. One night a week I play videos instead CD's or records. With a big LED TV and a 5.1 surround, it's like a concert at home. Ten years ago I had 300 concert DVD's that took years to collect and cost a lot of money, these on youtube are all free and I only save the live videos.

As an old B-3 player, give some love to HAMMOND for making them. Great video - never saw Sam & Dave live.

Hammond organ, did you ever see Uriah Heep with Ken Hensley on the Hammond? There were one of my favorites in the early 70's, I got to see them in St. Pete in 1975. They were never the same after vocalist the late David Byron left the band in '76. Here's a live video from '72, the song July Morning featuring Ken Hensley.
