Ready for rain?

After tomorrow, the gurus are predicting eleven straight days of showers and thunderstorms.

I welcome it. Sounds great for plants and grass. Will make staying home easier.

Wouldn’t that be wonderful! I’m crossing my fingers and praying for rain!

kcrazorbackfan 04-12-2020 11:51 AM

The weather forecasters are usually wrong about their predictions a larger percentage than not; I believe them as much as I do the Chinese government about Covid 19.

But, with that said, I do hope they’re right in their rain forecast.

Yes, we are entering a wetter period after what seems like an eternity of virtually no precipitation. For many of the days, the forecast of "showers" means that the coverage will be spotty. I would not hesitate to play golf but do bring an umbrella if you walk. Currently, Thursday looks to be the wettest day but that is on the edge of what can be reliably predicted.

There is 100% chance of rain in the next 90 days!

gregcharlesnelson@gmail 04-13-2020 06:46 AM

it always gets me when they say 50% chance and it is raining

davem4616 04-13-2020 07:17 AM

well I hope this time Noah leaves the snakes to fend for themselves....

next time around I'm gonna be a weather forecaster....ya make a mistake and you can just blame it on the weather

starflyte1 04-13-2020 07:41 AM

30% chance of rain forecast tomorrow morning at 5,6 and 7am. That means a 70% chance that it will NOT rain. Weather forecasters can never be wrong!

Criticism of weather forecasting is silly and factually inaccurate in 2020. Forecasts are amazingly accurate. Case in point: NOAA predicted life threatening winds and tornado warnings for Mississippi and Alabama 5 days ago. What happened last night? Exactly that! And up north I’ve seen snow start within 15 minutes of the forecasted start time. Today’s weather forecasting is not what it was 30 years ago.

Solution: " Preen & Roundup " . Weeds be gone forever, they don't dare sprout at our home. :a040:
