Chicago

Added a Chicago page to Songs Submitted

Stopped adding songs published after 1979, even though there were a few more hit singles.

Possibly my favorite band of all time.

We saw the Danny Seraphine version at the Orange Blossom Opry last year. Still excellent.

Chicago is one of my favorites also, my wife and I saw them about 7 or so summers ago. It was an outdoor concert, at a beautiful venue (what used to be Mountain Park, in Holyoke, MA), on June 21st. It was the longest day of the year, absolute perfect weather, and a full moon that night. They played from about 7:30 to 10:30, finishing under a spectacular full moon. One of my favorite all time concerts, I can't think of one of their many famous songs that they didn't play.

We also have tickets to see Leonid and Friends, which is an excellent Chicago tribute band from Russia, this summer on July 24th at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton, MA. Hopefully the show won't be cancelled due to Covid 19?

Favorite Chicago tunes are 25 or 6 to 4 and Feelin' Stronger Every Day. Never get tired of listening to them.

Agree on both counts. Colour My World also for a bit softer sound.

I've probably watched all the Leonid & Friends youtube videos.

Here's their version of 25 or 6 to 4.

The horns are freakily accurate.

When my husband and I were somewhere where there was a DJ and we could dance, Chicago's Color My World would play and no matter who he was talking to or where he was in the room, he would dash over to me, take my hand and we would dance. Deep Purple is our song but this one is also very special.

We saw Leonid & Friends last summer at an outdoor venue in Ft. Wayne. It was a fantastic concert.

"Colour" My World is a piano exercise with the lyrics added. Probably my favorite Chicago song.

I wish the Beginnings comes through TV next year. I'm always impressed with the lead singer as his voice is identical to Peter Cetera. I was disappointed they didn't come this year. Usually in January.

👍

Just curious why you put “Colour” in quotes? :)
