Delayed movement.

I have an electric cart and when I press accelerator forwards or reverse there is a 4-5 second delay in moving. Then it's kind of jerky. Any ideas what could cause this? Thanx.

I had the same issue, persisted for about three months before the motor died. Good news bad news thing. The bad news, it would have cost about 800.00 to put in a rebuilt motor, the good news, a great opportunity to upgrade the cart to a new model :). The cart was just over 5 years old and yes, I did abuse it.

Brand of cart is important here.

Motors don't really go bad in 5 years and most don't cost 800 to rebuild. So if you have a name brand model it could be something simple.

Probably needs new brushes

Our previous cart, an electric EZ-GO, had that problem for a while. An update to the electronic system took care of it. Good luck!
