Current FL stay at home order expires 4/30/2020!?

If we don't hear from the governor before then it must be he has let his people go starting May 1st ?!?

His so called committee charged with coming up with a plan was to get back to him last Friday.

The only change made so far is to allow some beaches to open......first things first. There are a lot of small businesses waiting to hear what the opening plan is as it affects them.

I guess it is only the 28th so we shouldn't rush him!

He is in D.C. meeting with the President.

It will be interesting to see how many believe that because the order is lifted or modified it will be safe to resume normalcy and will then complain because some business owners slow role reopening.

He is to announce the new recommendations tomorrow, April 29.

Wait and see.

Gov. DeSantis meets with President Trump to discuss COVID-19, re-opening the state

My feeling about May 1st is what has changed?
It’s still not safe for me to be out and about.
I plan on just staying the course.

Byte1 04-29-2020 05:22 AM

Think for yourself. If you do not feel it is safe to be out and about, I bet no one will force you to leave your home. Just my guess.

Byte1 04-29-2020 05:28 AM

The gov. makes suggestions. Sometimes they are right and sometimes they are wrong. Why do so many rely on the gov or someone else to make decisions for them? Make your own decisions. You have a 50/50 chance of getting it right.
The Japanese have been wearing face masks in public for decades. They are very crowded, therefore they bath and wear masks so as to not be offensive to all those in close proximity to them when they are out and about. If you feel frightened that you might catch the flu or virus when you are out and about, then wear your mask.

I am amazed at the number of people that do not realize this virus cannot be avoided forever! You can keep yourself locked away for another week or two weeks or a month or whatever, but eventually you’re going to go out. You can’t wear a mask and gloves forever. Staying in the house just delays the reality that you will be exposed to this virus just as with many other viruses or bacterias. Heard a doctor say yesterday that until we reach herd immunity this will not start to fizzle out. That can’t happen if people stay locked away. I am 70 years old and I’m ready to get back out there and start living my villages life again.

Governor has said many times that it will be a step by step process. Hes on the nightly news almost every night. Turn it on and youll hear whats going on.

Put everyone in the waiting room. That's the plan.

Remember SARS? A lot of us didn't get it if we were careful, and it "Burned Out" (no longer around). You don't NEED to be exposed for this to pass hopefully. Will new coronavirus burn out like SARS ... or is it here to stay? - CNN

Theme Parks in Orlando

I think Disney, Universal, et al will be just fine. They will double the prices and let half the people in. The big worry for them is will Joe Six Pack be able to trundle the wife and kids in the SUV and make their way down to Orlando? A theme park vacation with travel, hotel meals, attractions etc can run around $ 6,000 to $ 10,000 for a family of 4.
