I just threw on some of my autographs on the scanner from the summer of 1967 Baltimore Colts camp, I got these in person so I know they're all real. That's Don Shula top middle, Johnny Unitas and Raymond Berry on each side and below Gino Marchetti, John Mackey, Ray Perkins and Bill Curry.
Somewhat odd, both Ray Perkins and Bill Curry would both go on to be the head coach at Alabama. Gino Marchetti opened a hamburger stand in Dundalk Maryland with a couple of teammates in 1959, it grew to over 350 locations, not franchises, all were company owned. They sold the chain to Marriott in the early 80's for about $50 million. Of course, Don Shula went on to become the winning coach in the NFL with 374 victories, two Super Bowls and the only perfect season. Johnny Unitas was the QB of what was called "The Greatest Game ever Played" the 1958 Championship victory over the NY Giants. He's a Hall of Famer and has a top college quarterback award named after him. Raymond Berry drafted in the 20th round in '54 would go onto retire in '67 and at the time held the record for yards and receptions. In the mid 80's he coached the New England Patriots and took them to the '85 Super Bowl, however they suffered the lop-sided loss to the Chicago Bears. John Mackey a tightend who played ten seasons, and only missed one game for injury. Made 5 Pro-Bowls and was rated #48 of the 100 Greatest Players and has the college tightend award named after him.
