Social distancing

So my daughter and I are in Aldi's today. Going up and down the isles in the correct direction. A woman staunchly told me my mask was not on properly. I thought it was but I thanked her. We went to put the groceries on the belt and she yelled that her things need to be off the belt before ours go on. When she had 3 items left I started to load on the belt and
She pointed her finger and said apparently you dont know how to listen. Wow, how rude. We are so concise of all things. I ha e never been spoken to that way. So, please be nice to one another. Shopping used to be a joy for me, but not so much now

Wow. Sorry you went thru that. I want to think I would’ve laughed at her. She doesn’t make the rules.

Steven carrier 05-04-2020 08:34 PM

I would have laughed and asked her. Who made you boss?

I don't think the belts are being sanitized after every customer. Wondering why this woman thought the person behind her could not load their items while her items were still on the belt.

Yeah, she was right. Obviously, you do not know how to listen. You should not have put your items on the belt before hers we off.

I don't know why she wanted your items off the belt, but if your items were getting her upset, it is best to just let her have her way and then let her leave the store. Some people are very uptight these days.

At Aldis they took the order-separators away from the registers because they didn't want more than one order on the belt at a time. I don't know if they put them back or not. But if they're still gone, that's why. The cashier could have mentioned it to you if it was an issue - he did to me when I went to put my stuff there a week ago. I apologized and picked my stuff back up again, no big deal.

As for wearing your mask "wrong" well - wearing a mask isn't required at Aldi's, so it really doesn't matter if you were wearing it correctly or not, there.

Get use to it around here. Luckily low percentage Of those types you run into everyday, but they are out there. She’ll push someone’s button one day and not be happy when another like her responds.

If you want see how bad it really is—-search ocalaonlinenews, read some of them article’s.

She would have been put in her place if it was me that she disrespected. Who does she think she is. If you don't have anything nice to say then please shut your trap

jim1941 05-05-2020 04:49 AM

Sounds like "Cabin Fever" to me!

boobear51751 05-05-2020 04:49 AM

Not a good answer to let people act like that. If everyone waited for the first person in line to complete their sales then there would be a backup in the line all the way down the aisle which is already getting to be a hard line to follow. Tell the old bitty "mind your own business." The cashier should have called the manager.

I can't wait to run into someone like that. "Go ahead, make my day!"

I don't think so. The day I cow-tow to someone like that is 5 minutes after I'm socially distanced by 6 feet under. And I'd give HER plenty to "listen to".

Then she should stay home and order on line or by phone.
