Garage and lanai insulation
 

We are considering adding R30 blown insulation over our garage and lanai. I got a very reasonable estimate from Abshier. less than half of what Munns would have charged. Anyone out there have Abshier do an insulation job, and what was your experience with them? Any other recommendations for insulation contractors would be appreciated.

Have not had insulation done by them, but have had several others things done by them, and we are VERY satisfied. Clean, professional and cleaned up after.

Had them insulate over my Lanai... good job... good rate, would use again.

As a soon to be a newbie from Wisconsin (January 2011), I understand the purpose of insulation in a home and even a garage. I do not understand the need of insulation over the lanai unless it was totally enclosed. Can anyone shead any light on this?

with sliding glass windows, and we extended our tile out to the lanai as well.
