Palmer Cherry Hill
Just played Palmer Cherry Hill today. Not in good shape. Tee boxes are iffy, fairways are bare and greens were aerated and have not recovered. Play else where if you can.

Sounds like it should be closed for a few weeks.

Found the course in good shape. There were a few rough spots, but good grass in the fairways. The back tee boxes were thick with grass.
Aerated???...............norm spring process. An investment in the long-term health. |

The whole course was aerated. The greens are playing like the aeration was done over a week ago.....a little bumpy but but playable. Reilly Grove was fine (not aerated yet). Wonder why CH was done so soon, Palmer is not scheduled for aeration until Aug 5th.

Playing there again today and the last few times it is a muni course at best. It really is a shame as it used to be immaculate.

There are very few courses in The Villages that I consider to be in good shape......one exception, the executive courses south of 44 are in very nice condition......
Our foursome normally play a championship on Sundays......we have been playing the courses outside The Villages for the past month .This Sunday will be Harbor Hills. Why ? The outside courses are in great shape and are considerably less expensive to play ..... And I’m priority ! We feel it’s better to play on a course that’s in good shape than anything here in TV .... |
Golf Course Conditions
I suspect the people who spend their time complaining about the conditions of the courses are the same ones who do not repair their ball marks on the greens or their divots on the tees and in the fairways.

:bigbow:BYE BYE. Keep going off campus to play. More tee times for me.

However, give yourself a treat and play some of the courses outside of the bubble so that you can see that there are greens keepers out there that know what they are going !! :) |
Harbor Hills is in great condition, and such a bargain at $30
