Annoying little bugs

I think someone posted about this recently and I wanted to see if they would reply again as to what they used to treat annoying teeny tiny little bugs all over a kitchen counter. They're not ants the ant traps do not kill them. They're just little specks but they're everywhere anybody have any ideas.

You may want to Flea " Bomb " your home. I believe Lowes, Home Depot, Ace has them.

What you do is release it then leave for 2-3 hours. Take pet(s) with you. That should take care of the problem.

I think what you have is No See Um's " Slang " name. Screens are useless because of their size.

If they are fleas, I think they will hop around when you try to touch them.

I just use the cleaner for my bath tub, I spray the drains before I go to sleep. The bleach in the spray cleans the drains, no flies/fleas/moths whatever they are called and nice clean drains each morning. They are gone for weeks at a time then start coming back bit by bit and I do it again.

If you bomb the house make sure all electric is off and any device that has a pilot light is off

For those insects that fly around I spray them with water from my plant spritzer (you can add a bit of shampoo for more stickiness) until their wings get soaked and they fall, then I squish them. Works for most flying insects. I use water because I don’t want to hurt my lungs.

sounds like you have “no see um “ ants

I believe they’re called Ghost Ants. Deans didn’t have any difficulty dealing with them. They used little plastic ant traps with a jelly-like bait. I don’t believe Terro’s regular ant bait is effective against the ghost ants.

I just had the same problem so I decided to follow one of these little guys as he moved around the counter top. Sure enough the clear silicone that runs along the counter top and backslash had a couple of small holes in it and that is where he went in. So my husband sealed all around the counter top and so far we have not seen anything. This is the second time dealing with these ants.

I just shoot them with the salt- a-bugger.

They are ghost ants. Lowe’s sells stuff to get rid of them.

greenflash245 05-08-2020 06:28 AM

these are ghost ants. they are seeking water. go to your local bug buster (not hd or lowes etc) and get the correct stuff to eliminate them. the home improvement stores don't carry the right stuff to deal with most bug problems

Could be sugar ants. They’re very tiny like a grain of sand. Check your sugar bowl and any other opened sources of sugar.
