Yo Desantis....when do the barber shops and salons open?!?!?!

Given most hands on doctor appointments are open....dentists, eye doctors, ear, nose and throat, et al.......they all have routines that both the patient and the provider must follow.....to be open safely.

Precautions that barbers and salons and customers will be doing as well (eventually).

Even the FL task force initial recommendations included allowing barbershops/salons/gyms to open.

......so why is the state of FL so slow to allow them to open. They must certainly understand zero revenue = failure (maybe not in government but most certainly in small businesses).

I'm gonna take a guess and say about another week or less. De Santis is watching the results of Georgia's earlier decision.

The Gov's hair on the news looks nice. Can't imagine his wife cut it for him.:icon_wink:

Bill. (Bille) I have never met you but I have read you on here for years and years and years. I trust your good judgement, but I am concerned that you will go and get your fool hair cut and get sick and die. You are our age. I say....just let it fly in the breeze...or cut it yourself. I looked at a video on the computer...studied it carefully, and managed to cut Henry's hair with the kitchen scissors. He looks pretty good, but he is a fine looking fellow to start.

You be careful out there fannin' around, Mr. Kidd. You are a good fellow. That bug is out to get us.

They can open Monday the 11th if they choose to. You can go when you get an appointment if you choose to.

Perfectly said two sentences .

Not some long drawn out Drama Post by some.

Just a reminder " Never let a Crisis Go To Waste ". who said that.

Perfect Storm.

Staying at home is not working.

Yep, I agree. Male buns like the Olympic athletes, can be sexy, and ponytails like film directors wear, can look very distinguished. Long hair today on men and women can be a signature for facing Covid successfully. No need for narcissism.

Odd that you're comparing a haircut to a doctor's appointment.

Rwirish 05-09-2020 05:16 AM

Monday grasshopper.

How does one wear a mask while getting a haircut? Mask on a stick, maybe?

skip0358 05-09-2020 05:43 AM

Going to be twice as tough doing my beard with a mask on for sure!

mulligan 05-09-2020 05:46 AM

One does not. If one wants one's hair cut , one rolls the dice.

Haircuts

I had my hair cut/colored Thursday while visiting family in Atlanta. Salons there have been open for a couple of weeks now. You text them when you arrive and remain in your car until they text you back to come in. Max of 10 people in salon. Five stylists, five customers all spaced far apart. Everyone wears masks. All transactions via credit card. All chairs cleaned in between customers. Very easy process. Stylist had no problem working around the mask. Understandably, they are quite busy. I suspect a similar system in FL starting Monday.
