A leaked database from a Chinese military-run university suggests the country may have at least 640,000 COVID-19 cases — a figure substantially higher than Beijing’s dubious claim that it has seen just 80,000 coronavirus infections.

The virus tracker, compiled by China’s National University of Defense Technology and leaked to Foreign Policy magazine, appears to confirm fears that the nation’s Communist government is hiding the true nature of the outbreak that originated in Wuhan late last year.

According to the report, the virus tracker consists of more than 640,000 rows of cases in 230 cities ranging from early February to late April and confirms the location of each infection.

What? China understate/lie? No way. They have been upright citizens of the world since Confucius said " Ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies..."

Many of those 640,000 entries are not for just one case. It's amazing many in the media want to protect China and spread their lies. They must want to blame someone else.

I've reach the point we can't predict weather 20 mins away ..All these expert Covid predictions have missed the mark week after week sadly the world is paying the consequences.

China is lying about the numbers and the US is over estimating the deaths that are actually due to Covid-19. A good number of people had it but died of something else.

It would be interesting to do an analysis to determine how much, if any, Chinese funding sources are involved in financing / investing in branches of the US prestige media. Would probably be almost impossible to do as they would be smart enough to use cutouts to minimize their profile.

What an incredible cruel thing to say. I also believe the govt of China is lying but why would you want such a thing to happen to the people of China

640,000 cases of COVID19 is roughly only .064% of the population of China. That is an exceptionally low rate.

Not every entry of the 640,000 is for 1 case, many are for several cases. I'd bet the real number is in the millions.

China and its step brother North Korea has been playing career politicians for decades. They know career politicians are gullible for treaty, never see it through. They pass out taxpayers money like it’s candy. NO foreign aid should be going to China, NK, or any communist/terrorist country.
