Goodbye, faux hole in ones

Finally, back to somewhat real golf with the lowering of the pipes.

Now you people that posed for pics or got your name in the paper for your NOT REAL hole in ones, try getting one now.

Lol....

so how many faux hole-in-ones did you get? I get the feeling that someone that might not have been able to take advantage of covid-19 adaptive cups might harbor some jealousy. :-)

Thank God! No more raining on other peoples parades.

As things change back we need to protect the green holes. Please keep your putter out of the hole.

While the most likely score procedure is intended to support certain formats of play where the player is not required to hole out (such as in match play when the player’s next stroke is conceded or in four-ball stroke play when a partner picks up), it is also temporarily in effect where the above described safety measures are being used.

When using most likely score, the player should consider the number of strokes most likely required to complete the hole, and determine whether the ball would have been holed or not. Most likely score is at the player's best judgment and should not be used to gain an unfair advantage.

This measure is temporary and in effect within the United States until advised otherwise by the USGA

My biggest concern during this global pandemic with thousands dying a grisly death has been fake hole in ones.

Never mind the dodgy hole in one claims.
Stop these crazy gimmes, and putt out.
Seen many pick up from as far away as three foot from hole!
Ridiculous, and basically cheating.

Actually the USGA issued a rule stating if the ball is within 5 feet of the pin, add one stroke to your stroke count at that point and pick up. So, it isn't cheating.

Having said that, I putt everything in.

It made their day brought a smile What harm did it cause to anyone?.Gessssssssssh

billethkid 05-15-2020 08:42 AM

What scientific data was used to make the decision?

does Dr. Fauci know the faux holes are being removed?

Lottoguy 05-15-2020 08:53 AM

Cheating? Damn, I didn't know we were all trying to get our PGA touring card.

So instead of "basically cheating" what you witnessed was "basically following the local rules" established by The Villages.

COMPLIMENTARY
PUTTS
Any putt less than 3 feet
in length is considered good
with the next stroke
.

I got one and refer to it as my pipe in one. I did not declare it as a hole in one but it was fun none the less. :)

My bad.
I should have written, 'now the isert has been removed.'
