Vinyl Plank Flooring Joint at Tile

Has anyone put vinyl planking in living room where it butts up to tile in the kitchen? Is there a difference in height and is this an issue? I understand laminate would be about the same height as tile but vinyl would have a height difference. I know they use a joint piece in either case but I was wondering if people found the difference in elevation annoying when using the vinyl?

There is always going to be a difference be it vinyl or laminate

When I did mine I used cork underlayment from Home Depot. They have 1/4 and 1/8 inch. I used 1/4 and my floors are very very close to the same height. I used a molding to separate the tile from the vinyl plank. I think it worked great.

There does not have to be a difference between floor covering materials. If the sub floor is properly prepared, the difference can be eliminated. Most likely,in The Villages area, the installers will be in too much of a hurry to do it correctly.
