The cost for a single membership is $200. But for people living at the same address it’s $130 or $260 for a couple.

How is this fair? It should be one price for all. Singles live on one income and have to Pay more than couples who live on two incomes.

Yes I bought the membership but not happy about this discrimination against singles. Just needed to vent #%+%#Â¥

 Maybe make your next call to the District and ask to have your Amenities and trash bill cut in half.

Why does the house with one person in it pay the same property taxes as the Brady Bunch???

I just don't get it.

I guess when you start playing golf and pay the trail fee, we will be hearing from you again.

Don’t forget to add sales tax to your membership. We love ours because I was sick of listening to moaning & groaning about EVERYTHING at our neighborhood pool. And there’s actually people smiling, laughing, and eating. Hey you can even hear music too. Is this a great country or what....

Why would you assume that couples have two incomes. With the average age here being 67 there are a ton of people that are not yet on social security and may not have other pensions. Also, is there a problem going to the neighborhood pools together?

Sigmund Freud was a big fan of venting

Have you ever checked the pricing for a cruise? The cost of room is about 2/3 for a single as it is for a double. This is not new!

I think you are misstating the cost for a couple. If only one person in the house buys the pool enhancement, it is still $200 as it is a SINGLE membership, not $130 as you wrote. If both join, there is a different rate ($260) for 2 people who must live in the same house.

No discrimination here. Just enjoy your perk and let the anger go.

If you go swimming twice a day, it wil be better value than a married couple.:icon_wink:

Love2Swim 05-23-2020 04:25 AM

Go swimming and ignore the people on this thread who are clearly not very supportive. I agree that a pool membership should be priced per person. Each person is occupying space at the pool.

Oregon47 05-23-2020 04:49 AM

Or it’s $200 for the first person and $60 for the second...

Rwirish 05-23-2020 05:09 AM

Different price structure which has absolutely nothing to do with discrimination.

juscause 05-23-2020 05:22 AM

No one pays just $130.00. You may vent to your heart's content, but your premise is simply wrong.
