Stop by the Arnold Palmer Country Club Restaurant for a Corona

I just walked by the Palmer Country Club. The course, itself, seems CDC compliant-- even six-foot-apart painted lines by the starter's shack. Then I looked up at the restaurant-- no masks on the servers. So, after safely playing 18 holes, you can stop at the restaurant for a burger, beer, and the COVID-19 virus.

If it can be proved that one of the servers had the virus and a couple of patrons die as a consequence of contracting it there, however much liability insurance the Club has won't be enough.

Will walk out of any restaurant that servers do not have masks on. Don't care what one

My estate will not need one because there is no way that I will be dining there unless and until the management shows enough concern about its staff and patrons to have its staff mask up.

In my real life, I was an attorney. I still remember enough law to know that a restaurant that doesn't have its employees wear masks is not only socially irresponsible, it is running a significant liability risk.

In fact, if you follow the news closely, you will see that businesses are lobbying for liability protection if they reopen. Google "Covid-19 liability risk". A restaurant that doesn't have its employees wear masks is not only threatening the lives of its customers and employees, it it being just plain stupid in risking liability.

Maybe you could go in and have a beer. Then take them to court for wrecklessly endangering your life.

You would think a lawyer would state his case to be a little more believable. If I was on a jury and had to pass verdict on that post alone, It would be a Palmer not guilty.

Steve, you would not make it to the jury. Welcome to the real world.

Was at Fresh Market yesterday buying ribs ($3.99 lb!!! :) ) and all 3 employees in the meat department were wearing masks but they were all pulled down onto their top lip. That is in a store that "requires" masks to be worn by customers.

Yeah. Despite almost 100,000 deaths in this country alone, Villagers being in the high-risk-of-death category, and the number of deaths rising, many local businesses (and a few posters on this site) still have a cavalier attitude about common-sense ways to mitigate the spread.

But how many deaths have there been in TV from Covid? Not everyone here is in the high risk of death. Some still die of old age, cancer, MI, or auto accident. Can’t blame Covid on those deaths, well some might.

UF hasn’t had a new case in almost 4 weeks.

Before you speak of cavalier attitude, there are those on this site who are risking their own lives, that don’t have the time to worry about things they cannot change. They do not have time to be in fear, some may think that’s a cavalier lifestyle, others say it’s a calling

So you had on a mask of course, right?

And what did the manager say when you told him your concern for their operation?
