It has been years, but as I recall the villages gave us a book of instructions for the new house and suggested settings were in there, ours is set at 54%.

I like to keep the humidity in the mid 40s so I bought a dehumidifier.

I agree with VT............I was told 55%. Ask your A/C contractor.

I've see the adds by local a/c firms, stating that new Sumter Cty rules allow split systems to be installed for dehumidifying purposes.

If you put the unit on the lowest possible setting for humidity will it cool the lanai & or the garage
