Village of Woodbury & noise from Rec Center

looking at a house on SE 167th Ford Street, around five houses from the Rec Center...since they may be closed right now, does anyone know if that is too close and will we hear people playing pickleball?

thank you!

Are talking About the pool and shuffleboard courts? I don’t think ford street nowhere near mulberry rec center where the pickleball courts are? At least mile away and big building between?

Check out if neighbors are doing cardio drumming in the morning too.

Do you mean a courtyard villa because that street is in the Phillips Villas. The pool in there has one bocce and one shuffleboard. No pickleball noise as Topspinmo stated.

I live on Ford Street and hear nothing. If the wind is just right...and you listen really hard...sometimes you can hear Cody's Music.

thank you all....it has a electric stove; hoping it's equipped with a gas line so I can put in a gas stove

Pickleball is back on. My guess is you’d hear it (starting early in the morning) if you’re sitting on your lanai with windows open. Smart question to ask, I’m sure many buyers near the courts didn’t ask. Another key thing that often is not considered — does the lanai face west? If it does, it will get very hot in the afternoon. There was a thread on here recently about lanai directions.

Yes, that is a very, very smart question to ask.

We were walking thru the new area of DeLuna and saw a house being built right behind the pickle ball courts at the new Water Lily rec center. Of course, it is quiet now because the rec center is not open, but when it opens the new homeowners will be if for a surprise.

And if it's facing east you have sun in your eyes all morning, our's faces west, we us our lanai mostly in the morning and it's perfect. Since our driveway faces east I can wash the cars in shade during the afternoon and our garage does not have the hot afternoon sun shining against it. Both directions have their good and bad points. In the winter you will want that afternoon sun on your lanai.

Maybe there Pickleball players, we don’t hear the noise. Like flathead on straight pipes it’s not noise , it’s music. :1rotfl:

Our birdcage faces west/south west and we absolutely love the orientation. Dinner while watching the sunset is absolutely fabulous. Sure it gets hot, but it's Florida, so that's what we expect.

We live at 8460 SE 167th Forsyth St. Our courtyard villa is 15 units in from the pickelball courts. Plenty of distance. We like to play pickelball but don't want to hear it..

I lived about a quarter of a mile from Fish Hawk rec center and could hear people playing Pickleball when outside.
