By the way we own two late model MB's.--Its a car not, a brotherhood or a way of life.

It's a good way to learn the common failure points.

why would anyone want to be joined @ the hip for excursions to fast food joints via a caravan of similar cars

It's called socializing with people that have similar interests. How is it any different than any other club?

Because some people feel better being joined at the hip to a group of people.

Like you, I don't understand why.

Lots of people like cars and like to be around others of like mind. Look at Nascar's success. It's part hobby and transportation. Some look at simply as transportation and don't 'get it' The majority of them are female.

What if I have a Mercedes leased.

greenflash245 06-12-2020 06:57 AM

rentals are allowed in the club

This is a great idea. Ask local MB dealers to present at certain meetings, etc. Looks like most responses are not from brand enthusiasts. There is a great tradition in this company. It was the forerunner in safety and performance…even ecology. Yes, you pay a price for technology, safety design, quality of product such as high-strength alloy steel. But when that jacked-up Ram truck T-bones your door, your chances of survival with minimal injury are greater than in any other vehicle. Hopefully you'll find a few folks who respect the brand and can enjoy a club.

Folks living in the Villages are "joined at the hip", a brotherhood and way of life; no different from club members, whether it be car clubs, dancing clubs, fishing clubs, etc.

There already is a rather large Mercedes Benz club in The Villages. Why a second club? Just asking

Is there a Chevy club? I might be interested.

Get the Thursday edition of The Daily Sun, in the recreation news section it lists all the car clubs and their meeting dates and time.

TV Mercedes Benz Club Of America (MBCA)

I have been a member of the National MBCA fo over 25 years and currently am affiliated with the Tamps Bay, Orlando, and Jacksonville Sections. Despite the snide and critical comments posted here, I have been to numerous unique MBCA events all over the USA — none of these included any caravans to fast food restaurants as suggested. It is sad that so many seem to have to make negative comments about things they know nothing about. And for those that think a Mercedes is “just another car”, you probably wasted your money buying one as you just don’t get it.

As for a Section of MBCA in TV, yes I would be interested.

Gee I’m sorry I don’t get it

What’s the Villages club and how do I get involved? I was looking for a classic MB club, but that doesn’t appear to exist.
