An Idea for Entertainment in the Squares

Here's a thought for the powers that be, if they haven't already thought about it:

How about featuring soft rock or folk rock bands and singer/songwriters in the squares - the type of music people listen to, rather than dance to. And space the seating similar to what the Sharon is doing.

Jazz or classical and other types of "sit down" music could also qualify.

Great idea...some blues concerts would be great....mix it up a little

don't bet on no one dancing though...we once saw a group of French Canadian snowbirds get up and line dance to "The Battle Hymn of The Republic" in Ft Lauderdale....go figure

Who is going to enforce the social distancing rules?

What's to stop people from just picking up chairs and moving them?

How about a comedian?

Or a lecturer

Why not hook up to Spotify, mix a drink, and listen at home ??

That people listen to ? Around here they line dance to the national anthem.

People will dance to anything, they dance during the bands breaks, the sound of peepers chirping, hell, they will even dance to Scooter the clown.

Wonder how they get away with allowing that.

I'm thinking that is not such a good idea simply because if you or I (reasonable people) want to go to say a 5pm event we would'nt stand a chance because of the folks that go and "save" their chairs (village style) at 9 a.m. Only because maybe there could be 300 to 400 fairly well spaced apart seats for 50,000 + villagers?

I agree to the outdoor concept for great air circulation but I know that it would be difficult before it would even start. Hey, that's my friends seat, it's taken! What are we 7 years old?

I like the thought of the outdoor concert series for car loads or golf cart loads at the pool fields planned for this summer.

Do not care for having to sit in our car to listen to concerts. Wish we could bring chairs and they would space us out accordingly much closer to the stage.

That hadn't occurred to me, I own a pickup truck so I could just sit in my chair in the bed of the truck, elevated with an adult beverage.

A wild guess but I would think when they do open the squares it will be ....bring your own chair
