Need a Part-Time Companion for my 90 year old Mom
 

I am looking for someone to keep my 90 year old Mom company several hours a day three or four days of the week so that I can get out to do errands, etc. She suffers from a mild case of dementia otherwise she is healthy. The only duties would be to prepare her lunch and keep her company. She spends most of the day reading the paper and watching TV.
Spanish speaking preferred but not mandatory.

Also interested in someone who could watch her once a month on a Friday or Saturday evening so that my husband and I can go out to dinner and a movie.

I don't know if you have ever heard of this program, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. It is operated through the Dept. On Aging and the Corperation for National and Community Service. It is wonderful. It's been around since 1971. Give them a call and see if they can help.
