Formula one: Real men wear masks!

So good to see the race back again. We went 200 days since the last one.

And it was great to see that although they used 4000 tests on the F1 teams not one was positive and still everyone wore masks or face shields without exception.

Great to see F1 back!!! You suppose those masks were magic? You don’t seem concerned with high fives, hand shakes and hugging. Can’t we give it a break for just a couple hours and enjoy the race. How about Hamilton (1of the best of all time) taking Albon out of the race. What a shame for at driver and team looking at a podium finish. Happy for Norris. And will be interesting to see if Ferrari can run with Mercedes this year.

F1 has been pretty boring for quite a while, but if todays race is the future of F1, bring it on.
All Mercedes, and the other teams have to do, is let their drivers race, and not keep them under team orders!
As for the masks?
Window dressing!

Didn't F1 drivers always wear some type of facial protection? I think protection from fire in case of an accident, a balaclava.

It wasn’t as exciting without Max. He must have been really upset.

They have a new feature - steering wheel and suspension at Benz.

Hamilton has his own clothing line and he designed his own mask. He is just about the coolest guy at F1. The commentators including Jenson Button were also wearing masks and still distancing. You are right about high fives and hugs it was spontaneous, very hard to control in the heat of excitement.
