Anyone had pavers sealed lately?
We had our driveway and sidewalk pressure washed and would like to have it sealed. I inquired with a company that had an online ad. They looked at property records to determine the size and quoted me $800!
This seems high to me, especially since my driveway is average size. |
I did mine in February. I mean I applied it. The solvent based sealer is 50.00 or so a gallon. I used seven gallons.
I chose solvent based over water based because it had more solids. It was quite simple to do. |

How were the results? I'll be doing mine in the fall |
Rolled mine myself. Oil based product seals the sand between the pavers so they won't move and crack as easily. Don't forget to sand first and get the fine sand. Ace Hardware has the 5 gal cans and that is enough for 2 car average driveway. You can do it in about 2 hours or less.

The solvent stunk quite a bit. I think it had quite a bit of xylene in it. |
