Pools and time of day that are less busy

Our pool activity at Chula Vista is very busy, last count at 8:00am is close to 17 peeps (in the pool), looking for less, much less.

Chula is a very busy pool have you tried other sites?

The Rio Grande pool is nearby, it is not an adult pool, but when I am lawn bowls (pre-covid) it was not very busy. There should not be many "kids" around now. If you are willing to drive further, the pools up in the north, Calumet Adult pool and Chatham Rec Center pool will be less busy overall. We asked at Chatham and around dinner time the pool clears out.

Question- When did the pool usage start again? What are the rules?

My suggestion to anyone who enjoys swimming is start a sign in list with phone contact, email or TOTV notification and organize a system where it is broken down into 1 hour increments with enough for social distancing rather than see the pools closed do to mismanagement. That way each day, you can expect to keep your swim schedule, get to your exercise and vitamin D and be safe too! Some of the pools have people that monitor them so get them involved as each community can make this work. It is important to not only protect ourselves during this time but also take care if our body through exercise as well! Hope this spurs some positive action and results! Good luck!

Fresh Air-Sun-Chlorinated water ALL kill the virus. I saw masks on people while sitting around the SUNNY pool (6' distancing....determined by a HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT) and thought they are breathing IN CO2 and LESS fresh air which is bad for you. How many loops do we jump through before we realize a lot of this is selective enforcement. I realize as 'seniors' we have a much higher chance of contracting the virus. Maybe eliminate all outside visitors would be the best solution and test the restaurant help. HERE COME THE CRITICS......

Do the math they can. They just need to spread themselves out

Of course it's empty at 10 P.M. It closes at 9 P.M. Numbers allowed in the pool/on deck are posted based on size. Chula Vista is allowed 36. No problem staying 6 ft apart with 17 people. Only a few times that there have been more than 20. Certain times are busier but Rio Grande pool isn't far away.
