CPD Drone Video of How Antifa Masquerades as “Protestors”

This video comes from a drone flown by the Chicago PD.

Chicago police release video footage of protests at Columbus statue - YouTube

It plainly lays out how Antifa types come originally disguised as “protestors” for media consumption but then covertly change into their black uniforms, in effect, for battle. They then distribute weapons to be used by the crowd against the police. Antifa is military like in their discipline and tactics. All that’s missing is a military force to oppose and engage them.

This is the first compelling evidence I’ve seen that proves these people are not peaceful protesters, but felonious law breakers and rioters.

Yes, I did see that on the news. What I don’t get is why, if you are there to peacefully protest, do you stay there and watch these people do what they do. I would run as fast as I can if I was at a “peaceful” protest and saw people looting, burning buildings, knocking down statues, etc. To me, that makes the whole movement have no credibility. Certainly not the way to change things. Just my humble opinion.

Explain again why they can gather in such large groups.

I think the most honest answer is the local political leaders are intimated and thus too afraid to prohibit such gatherings.

I see a lot of police inadequately protected, and being sent into a situation they have no chance of controlling..
The mayor, police chief, who ever sent them in, should bow their heads in shame.
Send in the Social Workers!

I'm actually curious to see how the first time deployment of social workers to a 911 situation works. It's almost like a test of common sense vs ideology. Some outcomes will probably be fine but, IMO, it's a matter of time before a number of Social Workers get hurt badly on the job. I guess we'll find out in those localities that actually "defund" the police etc.

Or the local leaders are using these protesters for their own agenda. As fast as history has been removed so will other things on their agenda, like gun control.

Do you know what ANTIFA actually stands for? Anti-Fascist which is exactly what is going on with unmarked military "prophylactically" arresting people at these protests. Whose laws allow people to be arrested BEFORE they do anything? The laws of authoritarian and dictatorships.

Antifa does indeed stand for anti-fascist but, IMO, it's in the Marxist sense that anyone who opposes their version of absolute truth is therefore "fascist." It's essentially a form of name calling and actually rather juvenile.

If you look at the video where they're caught changing clothing from protestor into black clad rioter garb, and then hurling bottles at the cops, I think most would agree they need to be removed from the streets.

Once again for the crowd in the back row:

If they are "military-like in their discipline and tactics" then they are NOT Antifa, or Antifa-types.

The term "antifa" is short for anti-fascist.

Military-like in discipline and tactics is something that fascists embrace. An anti-fascist would reject military-like discipline and tactics.

Y'all need to stop using the latest trendy catch-phrase spewed to you on faux news and spitting it out as if you had any vague idea of what you were talking about.

And by y'all I mean y'all. Not just you, TexaninVa. As GracieGirl might say, jeepers creepers, golly gosh, and goodness gravy.

First of all, you should not direct comments towards any one poster in particular to comply with TOS. That's not up to me to enforce.

Second, this comment "An anti-fascist would reject military-like discipline and tactics" indicates either a lack of understanding or a significant amount of simpatico naivete. I don't know which.

At some point, people who riot and obviously break the law, need to be arrested and jailed. That may be controversial to some in enlightened circles but still common sense to most people.

"Conspiracy theories about antifa which tend to inaccurately portray antifa as a single organization with leaders and secret sources of funding have been spread by right-wing activists, media organisations and politicians including Trump administration officials.[28][29][30] T[SIZE="6"]here have been multiple efforts to discredit antifa groups via hoaxes on social media, many of them false flag attacks originating from alt-right and 4chan protagonists posing as antifa backers on Twitter.[31][32][33] Some hoaxes have been picked up and reported as fact by right-leaning "

But those alt right wing guys are the good guys, right ? And the false reporting is fine with all ????

I detest protests and have seen a lot in my time but the stories you guys weave on here are so distorted and false as to be funny, and nothing funny about any of the injustice done in our once beloved country that touted justice

Citing "conspiracy theories" as a rebuttal is the modern day equivalent of simply ignoring the obvious, such as the evidence in the video. It's kind of like the three monkeys ... hear no evil, see no evil etc.

Interesting...I saw no CPD say or even imply the name of organizations involved. Not at this incident, but at others where they specifically mention the antagonists and actors.

I have tried to stay out of this fray as much as possible. I detest protests, even more I detest the cause of protests. I was deeply involved in the 60’s, Not marching but trying to quell. As we see in Portland, the Moms, attorneys, etc out marching and now the protests are about the unprecedented overreaction to the marches. Look at the pictures.....as you demonize all blacks, the skin color tells a different story.

This is sad, what is happening, and I pray thanks the military told our government NO to being used for this purpose. It is a sad day in my country, and one I never thought I would see. It is also sad on here to read how people demonize fellow Americans due to skin color

By the way...who besides yourself and whomever posted the video on YOUTUBE mentioned the tactics you describe and the name of groups involved ?

Have you actually looked at the entire video? Just curious ...

Demonizing people because of their skin color ... we can agree that's despicable. Do you really think most demonization is whites demonizing blacks? Do you not recognize what's going on in reverse?

And, for the record, I have never demonized black folk, in particular since I have relatives.

When I see references to "Moms" marching and so forth, pardon me but I think some are easily duped about the motives of what's going on.

What is truly sad is a breakdown of order in society. It's the fundamental right from which all others flow. There are a lot of people who essentially hate the country as founded and see no problem in using any means whatsoever to destroy it.
