Course Access Pass

See the pic in today’s Village Sun of Hill Top Exec. Course? 3 out the 4 carts surrounding that green were where they weren’t supposed to be - 2 within the 15’ restriction and 1 in between bunkers.

Changes are coming and I hope the Ambassadors are given the power to keep the idiots in their carts away from the greens.

It will be as effective as getting players to fill divots, fix ball marks on the greens and everybody's favorite....rake the sand traps!!!

Great in theory....not so much in practice!!!

When in Rome do as the Romans do...We are all entitled.

What does the Course access pass program which is the title have to do with people parking too close to the greens?

Time to hire someone to operate a drone over the course equipped with a loud speaker. Any golfer not properly caring for the course is given a verbal warning and with a second offense is escorted off the course and their golf ID frozen for 3 days for a first offense and increasing days for each new one. This can be waived by attending a class on how to behave on the course.

This would allow a single anonymous person to report on infractions and get action on these violations. The identity of the drone operator would be unknown as they are just enforcing the rules.

The Ambassadors can't tell them to move but when a Villaget gets nasty to them, they aren't allowed to do anything. And boy are Ambassadors abused by some of the entitled ones here.

Did you notice if they were Handicap or not. Handicap carts are permitted near or around the greens.

Yes, we do have the authority to enforce the 15-foot rule. I see this all the time and these people know better. Most comply, but the few who don’t are told emphatically about the rule and are rude and sometimes crude in their responses.

It's like the rest of the rules around here. Most follow them, but there are those who ignore them. Until they are enforced, and I'm not sure how much power the ambassadors have in that regard, nothing will happen. They should be able to get the offenders name from the starter and put a note in the system that stops offenders from getting tee times for a week.

Gee, and I thought golf was a "gentleman's game". Rude is bad and deserves a stern look like Mama would give. Crude deserves to be ousted for several days like a "time out" in the corner.

What is it with Villagers who are always complaining? Especially if they aren't following the rules.

turk3531 07-25-2020 08:36 AM

An ambassador can request they move their carts to an approved area. If abuse starts, the ambassador politely excuses themselves from the situation, and, notifies their manager, and they handle it.

Dana1963 07-25-2020 08:46 AM

Don’t sweat the small stuff if they are parking on the greens we have a problem.
