wonder how long it will take for the bridge going over the pike to be open to traffic

it seems to be taking a long time to complete the 'ramp work' once the bridge work was put in place over CR 44

FenneyFanatic 07-28-2020 07:18 AM

They’d better get those support columns built..

There is no need to complete the 'ramp work' for the bridge over 44 near Brownwood because there would be no place to go once you crossed the bridge.

On the other hand, they are making great progress on the 'ramp work' for the bridge over 44 at Lake Deaton Plaza. When they finish, that will give connectivity to the homes in Chitty Chatty and Bradford and Hawkins where they are trying to sell homes.

The recent Villages video suggested that the Water Lily bridge would be the last one to be completed around the first of 2021.

When the Water Lily bridge is moved into place across the turnpike, there's still plenty of work to be done:

Decorative piers on each side of the bridge, like what was done for the Chitty Chatty bridge across 44.

Approach ramps to each side of the bridge.

On the Water Lily side, there will also be a short span above the natural gas pipeline right of way.

On the north side, the MMP parallel to Meggison Road will need to be completed for the connection to the Brownwood Bridge over 44.

Still, seeing that span across the turnpike will be a great milestone!

Since they didn't provide the year with the dates, I suppose they have an out if they need to back burner it and put it off another year again. Or maybe giving the days of the week are binding? LOL

Only one of the concrete supports is in place, on the north side of the turnpike. One of the many rumors around the bridges was that the concrete had to set for a long time before they could place a bridge on them. I guess another rumor squashed.

According to a very honest looking fellow we purchased the rights to the bridge last year.

We are now looking to sell shares of the bridge if interested please let us know.

Based on TV Video the bridge at Rohan is scheduled to open end of August, the brownwood bridge end of the year or January and Don's current video showed a portion of the MMP has been paved. If they are placing Water Lily end of August access to north of 44 should be available by the end of the year.....then what will we talk about??

Looks to be a 3.2 mi ride or walk from the Marsh Bend homes within Lowlands Executive Course to Brownwood.

We can contemplate the time and speed of the carts chugging up the steep bridge approaches.

Having seen the bridges over 44 I for 1 don’t want any responsibility whatsoever for these bridges. For 1 they are not crowned. 2 they allow for projectiles to be thrown off the bridges that could land on windshields of traffic passing below.
