Taking a guess here, the repair cost may exceed the cost of a new one. That said there is a strong likely hood that the magnet fell off. The speedo works by counting the revolutions of the wheel, to which a magnet is attached. Follow the speedo wire down to the undercarriage it will be near the axle or wheel. A small magnet will be attached to the moving part. The magnet will come close, but not touch the speedo sensor.

I hope this was helpful.

You can buy a GPS speedometer on Amazon for 30 dollars.

Carts and Clubs just repaired mine along with yearly maintenance.
Called my regular maintenance person (who had been recommended here and did an OK job for a few years) - said not his specialty. Will be using Carts and Clubs for maintenance in future.

Have you checked the battery? Depending on the brand of speedometer, there is usually a battery door on the back of the speedometer. You can unscrew it with a coin or screw driver. Replace the thin round battery with new one like it. I have to replace mine about once every 12 to 18 months.

cell phone app is free

If you have a cell phone, get yourself a cell phone holder that fits your cart, download a Free GPS speedometer app, or you could use the Villages GPS app that costs a few bucks if you want. I use an app called Ulysse Speedometer Pro. It has lots of bells and whistles. I do have a UBS plug in to keep my phone charged as well, but the apps don't use up too much of your cell phone battery.

Make sure your governor is set at the legal speed limit and you don't need a speedometer. Just my two cents for what its worth.

You might try Bob Sain 352-399-5115. He installed ours a few years ago.

Try a battery. Our clock wasn't working but other things were and all it was, it needed a new battery. Try that first.

If it’s the bicycle type dead battery most likely. But, don’t work/fix really do explain the problem?
