Golf Cart Insurance
 

Does anyone have Golf cart Insurance. I need a policy that would cover when I rent my place out from time to time. I had state farm and found out after a month that a renter/cart is not covered. But if I let a friend drive it their covered. Makes no sense.

When we rented a few years ago the home owner made us sign a form releasing them of all damages, liabilities and yada yada yada. Not sure if that was enforceable legally but something to think about to get around it.

If you cannot find suitable insurance, do NOT allow use of the golf cart, LOCK it, then tell the renters how to rent one locally.

This subject has come up many times and I don't remember anyone having a solution to the renter issue. VillageTinker has it right.....lock your's down and give them names of reputable companies that will rent to them.

The Villages Insurance says they have a solution.

Foremost will write rental golf cart. Call Clifford Insurance. You will pay a surcharge and have to list the renters as drivers.
