Bucks boycott play off game in response to Blake shooting
 

The Milwaukee Bucks are boycotting their playoff game today in protest of the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, WI. The NBA and National Basketball Players Association announced all games Wednesday would be postponed after the Bucks players' decision.

The Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds are reportedly boycotting their baseball game tonight at Miller Park.

Seeing all the games are virtual and no fans are inconvenienced (except for maybe having to pick up the remote to change the station), it will be interesting to see fan reaction.

Personally, I am so over professional sports.

What? The NBA playing. Haven’t watch NBA since Spud Webb, DR. J and Larry bird. Spud was my all time favorite.

I don't care if they cancel every freaking game. I am so done with professional sports and their ungrateful millionaire thug hood rats.

No more pro sports for me...

Players boycott, fans boycott. No more lucrative contracts for players and they lose their stage that could be used in a much more effective way.

Could care less if nba ends their season today.

If players boycotted every time there was an urban same race murder then professional sports would never exist.

I 100% agree with you. It seems to be all about "them" (the professional athletes). I'll be honest, it appears BLM is a group that is narrowly focused to have a positive impact on black lives that have been shot or harassed by police.

I believe they could make a much bigger impact if they focused on the black youth that need guidance as they grow up, Give them positive role models. Give them pathways where they can grow up and be productive adults.

BLM is focused on a small sliver of situations where police officers target black youth. They ignore the opportunity to address the broader issue where the black youth need a positive role model to point them in the right direction. (and let me say it's not JUST the black youth... but that seems to be fashionable conversation lately).
