Who Says Nothing Good Comes Out of Russia?

NOTHING but cool.

My neighbor rents a bedroom and had a Christian lady from Russia as a tenant for probably a year. Some kind of exchange program with the Covenant United Methodist Church. This was about ten years ago or more.

I do not remember the woman's name but she seemed quite nice. She had some other tenants who were a lot of trouble.

I tried taking Russian at the University of Minnesota but all the teacher had me doing the first of many lessons was doing the Russian alphabet. I was not very good at it so dropped the course. This was after I had earned my law degree at the U of Minnesota in May of 1989. I took courses in Dutch, German, Italian, Chinese and Japanese too there but just for fun.

I could not talk to the Russian lady across the street at all either.

We had tickets to see them earlier this summer at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton, MA. Covid canceled, or should I say postponed until next summer.
