2020 NBA Champions

Of course this season is unprecedented w/ the players confined to a bubble. Which team do you think will take it all?

glad you IDd the choices. I would have NO IDEA which team is in or not. Had not desired to watch 1 second. For many reasons. But I do hope those that do, enjoy.

Can I vote for the Harlem Globetrotters?

JGVillages 09-05-2020 06:41 PM

Just started to watch Giannis and the Bucks again last year. For obvious reasons, to me and considerable others, no more NBA.

Raptors Repeat!! So disheartening to hear all the awful comments about great athletes (NOT THUGS) who care enough about others to use their clout to try to better the lives of oppressed people. Shame. Many of them, even as rich privileged people, get stopped and harassed unnecessarily by the police, just because they are black.

The champions of all team sports this year should have an asterisk by their names. Shortened seasons, playoffs with no seasons, star players opting out. There is nothing legitimate about the NFL, MLB, NBA or NHL this year. The games now being played are simply an attempt to salvage some cash out of canceled seasons.

I’ve always been a huge basketball fan but as long as LeBron the whiner doesn’t win I will be happy. Have not turned it on and will not - who cares !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Average salary of NBA players is 8 million - highest is about 40 million --This is to through a ball through a hoop God bless America

As long as millions of people are willing to spend their time and money watching these people throw a ball through a hoop they are worth every penny of what they make.

I realize that many professions are worth more over all to a society, but the fact is that people are not willing to pay hundreds of dollars to watch a school teacher, police officer or brain surgeon do their jobs.

Add to that, the fact that there are only 360 people in the world that can do what an NBA player does at the level that they do it at and they are a very rare commodity.

I'm not defending the NBA or any sports league. I don't watch the NBA. But I do understand economics.

Is it unfair? Maybe. But the people who pay these athletes don't do it because they like them. They do it because they get a great return on their investment.

stadry 09-06-2020 08:48 AM

evidently many less care...........................

NBA ratings down 20%; poll finds 38% of fans not watching the NBA because it’s ‘too political’ – DNyuz

How about naming some of this athletes that are committing all these crimes . What does it matter what these athletes are paid , we are all worth what someone will pay us, they are being paid what someone thinks there worth for what they do . People always are complaining about socialism on this site but complain that the Morse family and athletes make to much money . No one cares if you don’t watch , maybe you can find a nice old war movie to watch on Sunday afternoon and pretend that you were in it instead of that supply room at Ft Dix and if you haven’t noticeD the bankrupt sport called the NFL had a lot of teams paying big money contracts before the first week , I guess all the owners haven’t read talk of the villages where the NFL is dead , my heart is with Celtics but my head says clippers

Rrgolf 09-06-2020 01:15 PM

I was a big nba fan. No more. No more pro sports at all

mtdjed 09-06-2020 04:11 PM

I tried to watch a game and found myself being forced to look at racist advertisement of black lives matter printed on the basketball floor, backs of players jerseys and on placards worn by some coaches. I then saw the names or monograms of companies like GE (My lifetime employer) printed on Jerseys. This is so blatantly racist that it makes me not watch this trash.
Not that they care, as I am not about to buy tickets to games or any NBA articles. But one thing the advertisers are losing is the lack of seeing their paid ads, and a personal choice to not purchase from those companies.
