How horrifying - sign of the times. Compton CA. Security video shows a slimeball coming right up to the passenger side of a police car, a few feet away, leveling his gun and two officers fighting for their lives. Happened early last night, Saturday.

Worse - just heard on the news a 'group of protestors' were out front of the hospital chanting "We hope you die!".

Yes this happened in the USA. OMG.

"This was an unprovoked, cowardly act," a state lawmaker says

A manhunt was underway in California early Sunday after two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were shot in their patrol car Saturday by a suspect who “opened fire without warning or provocation,” authorities said.

The deputies, a 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, were both in critical condition and “fighting for their lives” as they underwent surgery following the attack, which occurred around 7 p.m. local time outside a Metro rail station in Compton, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

"Moments ago, 2 of our Sheriff Deputies were shot in Compton and were transported to a local hospital," the department tweeted. "They are both still fighting for their lives, so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers."

The deputies were out of surgery by 11 p.m. PT, according to KABC-TV.

President Trump, who held a rally in Nevada on Saturday night, responded on Twitter after the sheriff's department tweeted out a grainy video that shows the suspect approaching the parked patrol vehicle and firing shots inside the vehicle's passenger-side window.

"Animals that must be hit hard!" Trump wrote, referring to criminals who target law enforcement.

Where is the video of what happened before this? I don't think we should prejudge this without full context. We can't rely solely on edited video that only shows the shooting. You may just be releasing the clip to inflame the public. How do we know it wasn't justified?

Sick, sick people. All those who blocked the emergency room entrance should be charged with attempted murder and if any of the officers die, I sure hope not, charged with murder. We have to start showing these anti everything that the majority is just not going to stand for it anymore.

I believe the death penalty should be on the table again, especially for cases like this or the rape and torture of children. They are animals that need to be put down. God is not going to save them nor can he save you from them.

Amazing how such a small percental of the population can cause such disruption. I hope the authorities (political and judicial) wake up before the silent giant wakes up and takes action.
