New Restricted Income Apts on 466

Just outside The Villages is a new apartment complex being built. It is about one mile east of Morse Blvd on 466. What are your thoughts on this?

A builder bought the property and decided what he wanted to build. Apartments are needed in the are for many of the workers in The Villages.

What's the problem?

Low income does not equate to criminal or trash. Rotten low-life people are criminals and trash.

As long as they are primarily law abiding citizens all is good

Apartments and condos are being built all around TV as well as more RV parks, not everyone can afford to buy a home and there is a demand for apartment living due to all of the construction nearby and more commercial development.

A nice place for the people who do all the jobs here that we take for granted , for senior citizens and the disabled , for vets and single mothers with children who are working in fast food places, a decent clean safe place to live , what could be wrong with that ??!

This makes sense with all the new development going on.

Huge problem, I mean " HUGE " will be the traffic. Diagonally across the road will be even more apartments. Added to that Rolling Acres Road will be an even worse nightmare.

The Courtyard Villas on CR466 I suspect will take a $$$ on the minus side.

Lady Lake politicians clearly are clueless, I can only imagine what the backups will be like especially westbound at the traffic light making a left turn onto Morse Blvd going to Sumter Landing.

Likewise Eastbound @the traffic light going left onto Rolling Acres Road getting to CR441/27. Good Luck.

Welcome to Florida.

So far, The Villages has been very lucky.

Not sure why "clueless" applies. Is your choice not to build anything that provides housing options for people, raise taxes to expand the network, stop commercial growth so they don't need employees? Not sure what you think they should do to meet your perception of "clue".

A lot of us I am sure started as low income, or even at some points, no income, at the early stages of our lives.
The majority never ended up as criminals, or leaches on society.

At it's worse, the traffic around here is nothing compared to other places (Atlanta, Dallas, etc.). Inconvenient, yes. Huge problem, not in my opinion.

TAMPA is awful.

Tampa Bay traffic ranks No. 11 — even worse than Boston — in TomTom report
