Mens/Ladies Day Golf Tournaments???

Wondering: Now that things are re-opening, when are mens/ladies day golf "tournaments" going to restart? How about water jugs on executive courses? How about getting rid of the pipe inserts in the holes?

Why not contact the people who will determine when those things will happen to get your answers?

Given the ongoing pushing for equality in today's social environment, will "discriminating" men's or lady's venues continue?

Patience, Grasshopper. I think we are close to a workable vaccine. It can't come soon enough.

As far as golfing goes I wouldn't be comfortable yet going back to the water coolers, rakes, and riding with others not in my household just yet. I don't see the villages allowing it for a while nor would I believe they would want a possible liability. Just my belief.:)

I think most will opt for safety rather than a tournament right now. The entire Villages age places all at higher risk.

If restaurants can operate responsibly at full capacity in confined quarters, then golf tournaments can be played responsibly also!

Golf has been one of the safer activities during the pandemic. I would think they could work out some logistics to SAFELY hold Men's/Ladies’ Day events.

I agree there is a few ways they could find to run them safely especially if the golfers are from the same household or personally know each other as in neighbors, relation, or close friends or even groups that normally play together. I just wouldn't feel comfortable riding with a total stranger in the same cart not knowing where or who else they've been with.:)

I agree about riding with others in golf carts. I think allowing 4 carts per group should carry over even after the virus is no longer an issue.

And I do not believe that would be an unreasonable impact on the courses.

I haven't seen a larger impact on the courses no more than the normal people who think mudding up their tires and making ruts is a better choice than staying on the cart paths or the ones who clearly don't understand the 90 degree rule. We have noticed usually with using 4 carts we seem to have cut an average of 7 to 10 minutes of play. I think it's because less opportune time to chat.:)
