Had lunch at Sonny's today and the salad bar is finally open. :MOJE_whot:

Fantastic, when we were there in April for our preview we wanted to go someplace for lunch with a salad bar. The closest thing we could find was all the soup and salad you wanted at RJ Gators (the one in LSL) lunch special. The food was pretty good but they didn't have a salad bar so you were at the beck and call of the hired help. The service was absolutely horrible and I left there feeling that they were trying to discourage people from asking for any refills. I went to the bathroom after not having seen our waitress for 15 minutes and she was sitting in a booth talking to another employee while customers were waiting for her to come around and refill their water ! We never went back there during that visit. We visited again in July and stayed at the Waterfront Inn and never stepped foot in there during that visit either and, if it is still there when we do move to TV, I will never go there. There are too many good places to go to reward horrible, uncaring service. It might be that there was just one bad server but her actions were so blatant and evident the manager would have to be blind to not notice.

Maybe you just got a bad server. MY husband gets the "all you can eat" soup and salad, all the time. One day he had all three soup choices. Never had a problem with getting refills. Ruby Tuesdays a have a good salad bar.

In today's Daily Sun there is a $2 off coupon for the salad bar at Sonny's and the expiration date is Sept 30th.

I do believe that is probably the case but her behavior and attitude was so obvious that management could not help but notice it. there are too many good places to go to waste my time trying it again.

Just curious, why didn't you speak to management?

I really don't want to continue a discsussion of RJ Gators in this thread extolling Sonny's and taking away from that establishment.

I have heard many good things said about eating at RJ Gators. We have them on our restaurant list for our next visit.
