Ex Golf courses

Grass ridiculously long on courses north of 466A (not sure of ones just south of 466A). The tees to long full of weeds too, rough, fairways can barely find ball.
Go down and play Fenny execs, hmmm all cut everywhere and no weeds.
Has maintenance been reduced in some areas?

I just talked to Rich, at Executive Golf Maintenance, asking when DeLa Vista was going to re-open. They replaced the fairways on 5&7 (the par 4s), and he said it will be about another 30 days (90 days total).

My point being, I guess work is being done on courses north of 466A, but if they work on all of them at the same time, they would all be closed at the same time, wouldn’t they?

I've played a few Exec. courses in the past week and all of them were WET!! I saw someone mowing by a green and watched him barely make it through the mud. I coudln't understand why they would mow when it's so wet. Let the grass be a little long until it dries out.

And then everyone will complain and whine that the grass isnt being mowed. Thats why

Will be houses growing there probably shortly. The older Villages are being left behind.

I would say your village OB is not being left behind, would you?

I agree! The greens, tees, and fairways are terrible! Who ever runs this from the Morse family needs to be fired and replaced with someone who knows what they’re doing! I’ve talked with Maintainence people, and they are contractors who only are aloud to do what they are told to do!

Next complaint...................not enough grass.

I’m of the opinion that they are watering to bring water levels down in some of the golf courses ponds. That makes grass grow and areas wetter than usual rain or no rain. Fore.

The Morse family has nothing to do with the Executive courses other than build them. The courses and their maintenance are the responsibility of the AAC and the PWAC. Contact your local committee members with your concerns.

Move up to the appropriate tee for your game. If you're hitting driver on a par three from any tee other than green, you're too far back. Move up and give yourself a chance to put for birdies rather than leaving it in the long grass because you can't get it there from the golds. Face it: you're not the man you once were (ask your wife). It's supposed to be fun!

Vette2014 10-10-2020 10:36 AM

Of course the maintenance has been cut back. we have already been sucker in. The focus is on appartments and land south of RT44.
We are yesterdays news.
