Beware of Eric McCleary also advertised as Exclusive Designs.
Eric Mcleary aka Exclusive Designs works on driveway pavers. He took an $850 deposit for work promised and never returned. A judge has ordered a default judgement against him for me when he refused to even attend a court hearing. Everything he ever said to me has been a lie. I consider him to be a home owners worst nightmare.

Another reminder on this website to never pay for work in advance, regardless of who they are. I hope you get your money back, but a default judgement probably won't help much.

I was scammed by the same guy On driveway pavers. Sheriff is office said they could pursue if they have enough people with a repetitive complaint. Feel free to call me.

The problem would not be with the sheriff. There is a fine line between contractual law, which is civil, and criminal law in cases like this. Law enforcement can only enforce criminal laws. The laws are determined by the state legislature when it is up to county officials to enforce. They are the ones who have decided that more than one "victim" of a crook in a contractual agreement is needed to prosecute. Part of the key is trying to prove intent to commit a crime, not just the excuse of "I didn't have the money, manpower, etc to complete the contract." In Missouri, we had to have at least 3 victims to be able to show intent or a huge amount of money.
