Chitty Chatty Bridge
I just enjoyed a wonderful YouTube video by Jerry and Linda, The Villages Newcomers, sharing their golf cart ride across the new bridge. I was surprised that the pedestrian walkway ended at the bridge and did not continue over the bridge. The bridge is beautiful, and hope all can enjoy and share it safely.

Not sure why anyone would walk over the bridge, unless you r going to the grocery and then walking back
How about exercise? |

If you can’t walk 10 MPH or more you will be a hazard on the CC bridge and cause danger to others. Walking would be a bad choice.

Just like the paths, ALL of the bridges are multi modal, they are not just cart bridges. There is the same amount of risk on the bridges as on the pathway.

Haven’t been impressed with the CC bridge. All the hoopla will die down soon.

There was an article in today’s paper about an accident between a bicyclist and a golf cart on Marsh Bend Trail. No details given.

If The Villages talks so much about having great multi modal paths then they should have a walkway on the bridges they are building. The Chitty Chatty bridge entrance makes people believe there is a walkway across the whole bridge which isn’t true. People have a right to walk across the bridge and it should be safer than it is at this time.

A right??? I'm going to go check the Bill of Rights to see which number it is. |
Why are golf cart drivers so concerned about bikers and walkers about being on bridge, they seem to be not to concerned about on other pathways when they try to come very close. It seems to me it’s part of same agenda to keep us off the paths they think they own , well it’s not working I’ve walked over bridge twice and the sky didn’t fall
