Irrigation Meter Box Lid

1 Attachment(s)
Has anybody had their irrigation meter box lid broken by their lawn service and did they replace it? Saw mine was cracked down the middle right after they cut my grass.

My first thought on seeing this would be to talk to the mowing crew.

Repair it or buy another one. I doubt the yard people going to take responsibility.

I do not believe you can but one of these, and yes CSU will replace covers, we had one that was cracked and would not stay in place, we called and it was replaced in a couple of days.

You must be on reclaimed water irrigation that got the meter in irrigation box (in newer areas?) Only reason I could guess why water companies would replace it.

Call Utilities at 352-750-0000 they will replace it for free

omimom 10-22-2020 07:35 AM

What is CSU? Ours has been broken for a long time. We are north of 466 in Sumter County.

George Cantu 10-22-2020 03:16 PM

Mine broke several years ago and it was replaced at no charge. I am not sure who I contacted, but I would start with the Utilities Dept - 352-750-0000.

Mine not broke, if it was I would just weld it up with my plastic welder.

Barborv 10-22-2020 04:03 PM

Omimom, CSU is the district utilities (VCDD)

jchase 10-22-2020 04:16 PM

Mine cracked a couple years ago (neighbors lawn service) I called the district and they replaced. Their property, not yours
