Produce in Season
 

I'll be returning to TV tomorrow. This will be the first time I've been in TV for November. What produce is in season at this point? Oranges yet? Tomatoes? Corn?

Seems everything is in season all year round these days.

I'm talking about fresh locally grown stuff.

Passed orange tree yesterday, they was still green. O wait the might of been limes????? Naa, too big and round.:)

I love fresh local produce. Not an answer to your question, but Attachment 86779here's what I harvested this week in my garden in Canada. Some carrots know how to have fun!!

Walmart neighborhood store is in season.

These are supposed to be in season in Florida in November. Of course, if you buy them at a produce stand, they may have been grown hundreds of miles away. What is being harvested in South Florida may differ from what is being harvested in this area. At some times of the year it’s quite a bit warmer in the south.

I bought some fresh passion fruit and guavas this week. Not my favorite fruit to eat, but the scent is amazing, especially the guavas. Their scent filled the car, the kitchen, the refrigerator.

I plan to go to the farmers market in brownwood tomorrow (Saturday) some of the stands are local. I’ll let you know what I see. I’m interested too.

I have an orange tree and they are still green. It is usually Jan-Feb before I get good oranges.

Spoke with produce manager at Publix. Was told the reason why it is so expensive here is all of the large chains sell their produce they futures. Perhaps the roadside stands have good products however retail is very mediocre

Road side stand we stopped at have California oranges.

Most of the responses are useless. If you have no useful info why do you post????

Look into Dirty Dog Organics and Bountiful Farms.
Both have websites and Facebook pages.

Both are family run farms...Dirty Dog grows all organic, and partners with other farmers to sell some of their goods too. Meat, poultry and baked goods as well.
Bountiful farms mostly all organic too.
