Fishkeeping with high pH Wildwood city water
I was surprised to learn that the Wildwood city water has a pH of 8.4, so much so that initially I suspected measurement error. I was even more surprised to learn that the EPA considers anything between 6.5 and 8.5 to be acceptable. I doubt that there are many species of freshwater tropical fish that would agree.
I wonder how the other fishkeepers in the Villages have learned to cope with this. |
