Help with TV setup with universal remote and Xfinity streaming services
 

Unable to pair the Samsung universal remote with the TV to set up the Xfinity streaming services. Xfinity supplied the XI box to enable the Samsung non smart TV to stream. Not sure what the issues may be and need advice/help.

I don't think the Xfinity box is a streaming device. It is a cable TV box that delivers some selected internet streaming apps through the cable, but doesn't allow for direct internet streaming. As far as the remote, I would use the Xfinity remote to pair it to the Samsung TV instead of trying to use the Samsung universal remote. There are on-screen instructions for pairing the Xfinity remote to your TV. If you want to do direct streaming from the internet, I would buy a Roku streaming stick and plug it into an HDMI input on your TV. That will basically transform your non-smart television into a smart television for about $50.
